FAQs

It links a specific sacred landscape—Śaravana (a reed-forest)—with divine presence and an ancient event (a “samaya,” covenant), a common Purāṇic way of sacralizing places through mythic memory.

By portraying the deity as personally present and joyfully abiding in a place, it encourages devotion through remembrance of the Lord’s līlā (divine sport) and the sanctity of sites connected with divine relationships.

The verse highlights fidelity to “samaya” (a solemn agreement), implying that honoring vows and commitments—especially those made in sacred contexts—is a valued dharmic principle.
