Narrator (Purāṇic narration; specific dialogue-speaker not stated in the given excerpt)

Concept: Creation proceeds ‘dharmataḥ’—in lawful harmony; even the diversity of beings arises through ordered, purposeful generation.

Application: Live ‘dharmataḥ’: let creativity, family duties, and work expand life without chaos—through ethics, cleanliness, and devotion.

FAQs

It records a genealogical creation detail: the birth of several named bird-lineages (including parrots and owls) attributed to Śukī, described as occurring “according to dharma” (dharmataḥ).

In this context, dharmataḥ indicates “in due order/according to the proper law or norm,” marking the births as part of the orderly, lawful unfolding of creation rather than an irregular or chaotic event.

Not directly; it functions primarily as a creation-genealogy notice. Indirectly, it reflects the Purāṇic idea that the world’s diversity arises within a dharmic order.
