Go-Māhātmya

यथा गौश्च तथा विप्रो यथाविप्रस्तथा हरिः । हरिर्यथा तथा गंगा एतेन ह्यवृषाः स्मृताः

yathā gauśca tathā vipro yathāviprastathā hariḥ | hariryathā tathā gaṃgā etena hyavṛṣāḥ smṛtāḥ

ดังโคเป็นฉันใด พราหมณ์ก็เป็นฉันนั้น; ดังพราหมณ์เป็นฉันใด พระหริก็เป็นฉันนั้น. ดังพระหริเป็นฉันใด พระคงคาก็เป็นฉันนั้น—ด้วยคำสอนนี้ ท่านทั้งหลายจึงถูกจดจำว่าเป็น ‘อวฤษาฮ์’ ผู้ไม่พึงทำร้ายเลย.
