Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: karuna

FAQs

It states that pleasing the learned and virtuous brāhmaṇas is a direct cause for gaining Viṣṇu’s favor, framing respectful service (śuśrūṣā/sevā) as an authentic expression of dharma and bhakti.

Yes. It explicitly links brāhmaṇa-sevā with reaching “paraṃ brahma,” presenting devoted service to the custodians of sacred knowledge as a means to the highest spiritual attainment.

Reverence, humility, and attentive service toward the wise and righteous—especially those devoted to learning and teaching—are upheld as virtues that purify conduct and draw divine grace.
