Narrator (context not specified in the provided excerpt)

Concept: Time is structured into four yugas; understanding their cycle helps interpret dharma’s changing expression and the appropriate spiritual means.

Application: Choose practices suited to one’s era: emphasize nāma-japa, satsanga, and simple vows; avoid nostalgia for ‘perfect times’ and practice steady devotion now.

FAQs

A caturyuga is the complete four-age cycle consisting of Kṛta (Satya), Tretā, Dvāpara, and Kali.

It identifies the standard names of the successive yugas, clarifying that these four together define the full yuga-cycle (caturyuga).

It frames time as cyclical and structured, a key Purāṇic cosmological idea used to situate creation, decline, and renewal across repeating epochs.
