FAQs

It prescribes go-dāna (donation of cows): specifically, giving thirteen cows at an auspicious dawn, with their horns adorned/covered with gold.

In Purāṇic ritual language, dawn is a highly auspicious time associated with purity and sattva; specifying a “pure dawn” emphasizes proper timing and ritual cleanliness for the act of charity.

It highlights dāna (generosity) performed with care—right time, right manner, and meaningful offering—presenting charity as a disciplined religious duty rather than a casual act.
