Unspecified (narrative voice within Adhyaya 22; exact dialogue pair not indicated in the provided excerpt)

Concept: Incremental offerings yield incremental spiritual reach; disciplined repetition (seven arghyas) symbolically harmonizes the practitioner with the totality of the cosmos (sapta-loka).

Application: Adopt consistent, count-based devotional habits (e.g., fixed number of japa rounds, offerings, pradakṣiṇas) to build steadiness; track practice as a ladder of refinement rather than sporadic intensity.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: celestial_realm

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A devotee offers successive arghyas, and with each offering a translucent cosmic tier appears above the altar—first Bhuvar, then Svarga—like concentric luminous mandalas. By the seventh offering, a full vertical axis of seven worlds is revealed, a radiant cosmic pillar connecting earth to the highest realms.","primary_figures":["Devotee (ārādhaka)","Cosmic loka-deities (symbolic silhouettes)"],"setting":"Ritual space transforming into a visionary cosmological diagram—altar below, stacked mandalas above, stars and clouds interwoven.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["starfield indigo","aether violet","svarga gold","opal white","emerald green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: devotee at a richly ornamented altar offering arghya; above, seven stacked circular lokas rendered as jeweled discs with gold leaf outlines; Svarga depicted with celestial beings; heavy gold embellishment, symmetrical vertical composition, ornate borders with lotus and conch motifs.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: lyrical vertical composition with delicate clouds; subtle gradation from earthy browns at bottom to cool blues and golds above; seven translucent mandalas labeled by tiny script-like marks; refined, airy cosmological vision.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold concentric circles for lokas, strong reds/yellows/greens; stylized celestial figures in the Svarga tier; devotee in profile at the base; thick black outlines and temple-wall geometry.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: seven lotus-medallions rising like a garland above the altar; intricate floral borders; deep blue background with gold highlights; peacocks and cows at the lower border to anchor the cosmic ascent in devotional auspiciousness."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"dramatic","suggested_raga":"Desh","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"authoritative","sound_elements":["conch shell","temple bells swelling","wind through high spaces","soft choral hum"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: लोकानाप्नोति = लोकान् + आप्नोति; सप्तार्घान्यः = सप्त + अर्घान् + यः (अर्घान् + यः → अर्घान्यः).

FAQs

Arghya is a respectful ritual offering—commonly water (sometimes with auspicious additions)—presented to a deity, revered being, or sacred presence as part of worship.

The verse refers to the traditional seven higher realms commonly listed as Bhū, Bhuvaḥ, Svaḥ, Mahaḥ, Janaḥ, Tapaḥ, and Satya (Brahma) lokas.

It highlights disciplined, repeated acts of reverent offering—suggesting that steady ritual devotion (not a single gesture) accumulates spiritual merit and leads to elevated states.
