Concept: Kīrtana (proclaiming the sacred name) and dharmic establishment (āśrama) at a tirtha magnify merit, culminating in exalted sovereignty as a symbolic fruit.

Application: Visit sacred places with purposeful practice—chanting, service, and supporting dharmic institutions—rather than tourism alone.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: tirtha

FAQs

It highlights Puṣkara as a particularly meritorious tīrtha, where acts performed “in the divine name” are said to yield extraordinary spiritual and cosmic rewards.

By focusing on “proclaiming in my name,” it frames devotion and sacred remembrance (nāma-kīrtana/commemoration) as a powerful act that brings exalted results.

The verse encourages dedicating religious institutions and actions to the divine rather than personal prestige, presenting selfless dedication as the basis for lasting merit.
