with Tīrtha-Merit Teachings
आनुपूर्व्या च तत्सर्वं भगवान्वक्तुमर्हति । श्रुतेन मे देहशुद्धिर्भविष्यति न संशयः
ānupūrvyā ca tatsarvaṃ bhagavānvaktumarhati | śrutena me dehaśuddhirbhaviṣyati na saṃśayaḥ
A disciple-like interlocutor (the questioner) addressing the sage/‘Bhagavān’ who is narrating
Concept: Śravaṇa of sacred narrative, when received sequentially and reverently, purifies the embodied being (deha-śuddhi) without doubt—purity is not only mental but somatic and karmic.
Application: Adopt ‘ānupūrvya’ in spiritual life: follow a consistent daily sequence—cleanliness, short prayer, scripture listening/reading, then action. Avoid cherry-picking; let teachings unfold in order to transform habits.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A disciple sits with unwavering attention, requesting the story be told step by step, as if each verse were a ritual bath. Around the listener, faint impurities dissolve into light, suggesting deha-śuddhi through sound; the narrator’s presence feels like a living scripture.","primary_figures":["disciple-like questioner","Bhagavān narrator (sage/holy teacher)"],"setting":"Hermitage teaching hall with a small altar, water vessel, and neatly stacked palm-leaf manuscripts; a quiet grove beyond, symbolizing ordered learning.","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["pale gold","sandalwood beige","river blue","forest green","vermillion"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: a revered teacher (Bhagavān) seated beneath a carved arch, holding a manuscript; the disciple in añjali requests orderly narration; gold leaf background, rich vermilion and emerald textiles, ornate jewelry accents, stylized aura around the teacher, decorative borders with lotus and conch motifs.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: serene classroom-like hermitage scene; the disciple’s posture is humble and focused; manuscripts and a water pot rendered with fine detail; soft morning light, cool greens and blues, refined faces, gentle naturalism and lyrical spacing.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, temple-wall composition; teacher and disciple in clear narrative poses; warm red/yellow ground, green foliage framing, stylized manuscripts and ritual vessels; large expressive eyes conveying certainty and devotion.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: the act of śravaṇa depicted as a lotus pond of syllables—golden akṣaras floating like petals; the teacher at center, disciple below; intricate floral borders, deep blue and gold, peacocks and conch motifs, Nathdwara-inspired devotional symmetry."}
Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Bhairavi","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["tanpura drone","soft bell at verse end","birds at dawn","silence between lines"]}
Sandhi Resolution Notes: tatsarvam → tat + sarvam; bhagavānvaktum → bhagavān + vaktum; vaktumarhati → vaktum + arhati; dehaśuddhiḥ → deha + śuddhiḥ (ṣaṣṭhī-tatpuruṣa); (line break) śrutena me → śrutena + me.
It emphasizes śravaṇa—purification through devoted listening to sacred narration—presented as intrinsically cleansing.
Because the Purāṇic teaching is meant to be received sequentially, so the listener grasps causes, context, and conclusions without confusion.
Humility and faith: the listener respectfully requests instruction and expresses firm confidence that hearing sacred truth leads to purification.
