FAQs

They function as both: personified divine powers (śaktis) and the auspicious qualities they embody—fortune (Śrī/Kamalā), prosperity (abhūti), fame (kīrti), faith (śraddhā), nourishment (puṣṭi), and contentment (tuṣṭi).

Creation narratives often describe the cosmos as ordered through converging divine powers; here, the assembling of auspicious śaktis signals the establishment of prosperity, virtue, and well-being as foundational principles in the created order.

The pairing suggests a balanced ideal: material thriving (puṣṭi) should culminate in inner sufficiency (tuṣṭi), implying that prosperity is meant to support stability, gratitude, and wholesome living rather than endless desire.
