FAQs

Śatrughna is the figure named in the verse, described here as pausing at the hermitage of the sage Cyavana and receiving refreshment and comfort.

The verse presents the āśrama (hermitage) as a place of refuge and restoration—where a traveler can pause briefly, take water, and regain ease.

It reflects the Purāṇic ideal of āśrama hospitality and the simple, purifying refreshment offered to guests—symbolizing care, restraint, and well-being through modest means.
