देवेभ्यो विष्णुरूपेभ्य इति संकल्प्य दीयते । पितृभ्यो विष्णुरूपेभ्यो हस्ते च ब्राह्मणस्य हि

devebhyo viṣṇurūpebhya iti saṃkalpya dīyate | pitṛbhyo viṣṇurūpebhyo haste ca brāhmaṇasya hi

เมื่อดำริปณิธานว่า “ขอน้อมถวายแด่เหล่าเทวะผู้เป็นรูปแห่งพระวิษณุ” แล้วจึงให้ทาน ฉันนั้นแล เมื่อดำริว่า “แด่บรรพชนผู้เป็นรูปแห่งพระวิษณุ” ก็เช่นกัน เพราะแท้จริงเครื่องบูชานั้นย่อมวางลงในมือของพราหมณ์
