Unspecified (context-dependent within Bhūmi-khaṇḍa dialogues)

Concept: Among sovereignties, Brahmā’s is quantified, other claims are mentioned, but Viṣṇu’s is ‘prādhānika’—the foundational principle beyond mere measure.

Application: Anchor spiritual practice in the highest refuge: cultivate exclusive devotion (ananya-bhakti), using all secondary powers as supports, not substitutes.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A grand cosmic hierarchy depicted as ascending luminous platforms: Brahmā on a lotus with sixty-four radiant petals, other sovereign figures shown as smaller thrones, and above all a vast, unmeasurable presence of Viṣṇu—dark sapphire, serene, holding śaṅkha and cakra—surrounded by an infinite mandala that dwarfs numerical rings. The scene conveys that Viṣṇu’s ‘principle’ is not merely bigger, but foundational, like the sky holding all worlds.","primary_figures":["Viṣṇu (Nārāyaṇa)","Brahmā","(symbolic) Buddha figure representing ‘bौध’ sovereignty as mentioned"],"setting":"Cosmic lotus-axis (brahmāṇḍa) with layered thrones floating in a starry void.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["sapphire blue","gold leaf","lotus pink","cosmic violet","pearl white"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Viṣṇu central and largest with heavy gold leaf halo and embossed mandala, Brahmā on a lotus with 64 petal motifs rendered in gold, secondary throne figures smaller, rich vermilion and emerald garments, gem-studded ornaments, ornate arch with conch-chakra-lotus borders emphasizing Vaishnava supremacy.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: layered cosmic platforms with delicate gradation of scale, Viṣṇu in deep blue with refined facial features, Brahmā on a pale lotus, subtle starfield wash, fine calligraphy-like numerals on petals, lyrical composition emphasizing transcendence over measurement.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, Viṣṇu with characteristic large eyes and elaborate crown, concentric mandala bands in red/yellow/green, Brahmā on lotus below, stylized symbolic ‘bौध’ figure to one side, temple-wall symmetry and iconographic clarity.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: a central Viṣṇu-lotus with infinite floral rings, 64-petal lotus motif below for Brahmā, intricate borders of lotuses and conch-chakra emblems, deep blue ground with gold detailing, devotional hierarchy rendered through floral geometry."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"devotional","suggested_raga":"Bhairav","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"authoritative","sound_elements":["conch shell","temple bells","tanpura drone","deep mridangam pulse","brief silence after ‘viṣṇoḥ’"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: बौधमैश्वर्यमुत्तमम् = बौधम् + ऐश्वर्यम् + उत्तमम्; तंत्रमैश्वर्यं = तन्त्रम् + ऐश्वर्यम् (म् + ऐ → मै)

FAQs

It compares forms of aiśvarya (sovereignty or divine power) associated with Brahmā, the Buddha, and Viṣṇu, presenting a hierarchy that culminates in Viṣṇu’s “primary” principle and the notion of sovereignty as a defining station of Brahmā.

It indicates a “principal/primordial system or doctrine,” implying that Viṣṇu is connected with the foundational governing principle behind cosmic order.

Indirectly, it frames spiritual authority as rooted in cosmic principles rather than mere status, encouraging the reader to understand divinity through underlying order (dharma/tattva) rather than only through rank or power.
