Application: Cultivate 'inner ornaments'—truth, restraint, generosity, devotion—so that outer success and reputation rest on stable character rather than mere display.

Secondary Rasa: shanta

FAQs

It lists auspicious results: fine clothing and ornaments, good fortune, beauty, radiance, along with fame, renown, and virtuous qualities.

“Varavarṇinī” is a respectful address meaning “fair-complexioned” or “noble-hued lady,” indicating the listener is a woman (exact identity depends on the chapter’s dialogue context).

It combines both: it mentions outward prosperity (garments, ornaments, beauty) and also inner/social goods (virtues, fame, good reputation).
