मेनिका विष्णुशर्माणं प्रत्युवाच प्रियं पुनः । कामबाणैः प्रभिन्नाहं त्वामद्य शरणं गता

เมนิกากล่าวกับวิษณุศรมาด้วยถ้อยคำอ่อนหวานอีกครั้งว่า “ถูกศรแห่งกามเจาะใจ ข้าพเจ้าจึงมาวันนี้เพื่อขอพึ่งพิงท่าน”
