हिरण्यकशिपू राजा तानुवाचाथ दानवान् । तपश्चैव करिष्यामो दुष्करं सर्वदायकम्

แล้วพระราชาหิรัณยกศิปุจึงตรัสแก่เหล่าทานวะว่า “เราจักบำเพ็ญตบะอันยากยิ่ง ซึ่งแม้ทำได้ยาก แต่ประทานพรได้ทุกประการ”
