Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: Anāśaka-vrata (fasting vow)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It declares Prayāga’s sanctity as a powerful kṣetra: within its five-yojana sacred mandala, even a person in hardship gains assured merit by observing a sincere fasting vow.
By highlighting a simple, accessible vrata (fasting) performed in a holy realm, the verse supports bhakti-oriented practice—self-restraint and faith offered in a tīrtha context as an act of devotion.
Primarily kalpa (ritual discipline) is implied: the structured observance of a vrata (anāśaka/fasting) and the importance of kṣetra (place) in determining ritual-phala (result).
