Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within the Vedanga/ritual-technical discourse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that correct ritual performance (vidhi) should culminate in inner contemplation (dhyāna) of the all-pervading auspicious Divine (Śivā), showing that outer rite and inner realization are meant to function together.
Bhakti here is expressed as focused meditation on the Divine as sarvātmikā—present in all beings—so devotion is not merely external worship but sustained remembrance of the universal Presence after completing the prescribed rite.
The verse emphasizes vidhi—rule-governed procedure—reflecting the Vedāṅga orientation to precise ritual method (kalpa-style discipline), and then directs that such correctness should support dhyāna for desired results (saṃpatti).
