Narada (instructional/technical narration within Vedanga/śāstraic material)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It reflects the Purana’s Third Pada emphasis on applied śāstra—showing that disciplined knowledge (prayoga) can yield extraordinary results, while remaining a subordinate pursuit compared to higher dharma and liberation.
This specific verse is not a direct bhakti teaching; it instead belongs to technical instruction. In the Narada Purana’s broader frame, such powers are ancillary and should not replace devotion to Vishnu as the primary spiritual aim.
A practical prayoga-style instruction is indicated: preparation of a paste using mercury and other substances mixed with honey, implying a technical/alchemical procedure rather than grammar or astrology.
