एवं ध्यात्वा जपेन्मंत्रान्पञ्चलक्षं पृथक् सुधीः । जुहुयात्तद्दशांशेन पायसेन ससर्पिषा ॥ ८ ॥
evaṃ dhyātvā japenmaṃtrānpañcalakṣaṃ pṛthak sudhīḥ | juhuyāttaddaśāṃśena pāyasena sasarpiṣā || 8 ||
เมื่อภาวนาและเพ่งดังนี้แล้ว ผู้ปฏิบัติผู้มีปัญญาพึงสวดมนต์แยกกันให้ครบห้าแสนครั้ง แล้วจึงบูชาไฟ (โหมะ) ด้วยข้าวน้ำนมผสมน้ำมันเนยใส (ฆี) ในจำนวนหนึ่งในสิบของนั้น

Even though it is technical, the sequence implies bhakti as sustained remembrance (japa after dhyāna) and self-offering (homa), where the practitioner’s devotion is expressed through disciplined repetition and consecrated oblations.
It highlights ritual mathematics and procedure used in Vedic practice—lakṣa-count japa and the daśāṃśa rule (one-tenth) for homa—along with the prescribed havis (pāyasa with ghee) for the fire-offering.
