Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, describing adharma and violence)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: raudra
It condemns oppression and cruelty as adharma, highlighting that misuse of strength against the helpless is a sinful pattern that leads to negative karmic results and spiritual decline.
Bhakti is grounded in compassion and restraint; harming the weak contradicts devotion-centered virtues like dayā (mercy) and ahiṃsā, which support purity of mind for worship and remembrance of Bhagavan.
The verse reinforces dharma as applied ethics—discipline of conduct that complements Vedic learning; without moral restraint, technical knowledge (including Vedanga studies) becomes spiritually unfruitful.
