Narada (teaching in a prescriptive, ritual-instruction mode within the Adhyaya)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that devotion becomes effective when it matches the deity’s preferred mode of honor—Durgā through arcana (pūjā) and Śiva through abhiṣeka—performed with sincere reverence.
Bhakti here is expressed as attentive, personalized service (upacāra) to the deity: knowing what pleases the deity and doing it carefully (ādarāt), not mechanically.
It reflects Kalpa-style ritual practicality: selecting the correct rite (arcana/abhiṣeka) and executing it with proper procedure and respect, which is the applied side of Vedic ritual science.
