The Description of the Worship of Rāma and Others
Rāmādi-pūjā-vidhāna
vijane vijitāhāraḥ ṣaṇmāsaṃ vidhināmunā | kṣayarogātpramucyeta satyaṃ satyaṃ na saṃśayaḥ || 161 ||
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames bodily healing as the fruit (phala) of disciplined vrata-practice—seclusion, self-control, and strict adherence to vidhi—showing that steadiness in dharma can yield tangible results.
Though not explicitly naming a deity here, the emphasis on niyama (regulated practice) supports bhakti by purifying habits and strengthening resolve, which are foundational for sustained worship and japa.
Prayoga/vidhi-oriented ritual discipline is highlighted—time-bound observance (six months), controlled diet, and prescribed procedure—reflecting technical application of dharmic rules rather than a purely philosophical teaching.
