Narada (teaching within a Vedanga/mantra-vidya exposition, traditionally in dialogue with Sanatkumara lineage)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It identifies a specific Gāyatrī-variant (Magāyatrī) and frames it as a result-bestowing mantra, emphasizing mantra-lakṣaṇa (formal characteristics) as spiritually consequential in Vedic practice.
While technical in tone, it supports bhakti-sādhana by presenting mantra-japa as a means to attain iṣṭa-phala; disciplined recitation becomes a devotional act aligned with scriptural injunction.
It highlights mantra-structure analysis—counting akṣaras (six-syllabled) and noting ending phonetic features—reflecting Vedāṅga concerns such as śikṣā (phonetics) and vyākaraṇa-style precision in recitation.
