It teaches that eclipse-times (uparāga) are ritually potent moments when a properly formed bīja-mantra is to be handled with heightened sanctity—symbolized by placing it in a pure, precious (golden) vessel—emphasizing precision and reverence in mantra-vidhi.
While primarily technical, the instruction supports bhakti by insisting on careful, disciplined observance of sacred timings and purity in mantra practice—outer ritual exactness reinforcing inner devotion and steadiness of worship.
Jyotiṣa (Vedāṅga astrology) is implied through the use of eclipse timing (candra/sūrya-uparāga), and Śikṣā/mantra-śāstra style technicality is shown through phonetic/form markers like bindu and specified placements in the bīja.
