Narada (teaching/reciting a protective mantra within the instructional dialogue to the Sanatkumara tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: vira
It invokes Narasiṃha as indwelling protector (hṛt-stha) and calls His divine tejas to manifest as a force that destroys fear and obstacles, symbolized by the vajra-like claws.
Bhakti here is expressed as surrender (namaḥ) and inner remembrance—requesting the Lord to dwell in the heart—so devotion becomes constant, not merely external ritual.
It reflects mantra-prayoga: beginning with Oṃ (tāra) and using specific epithets (Narasiṃha, tejas) as a focused recitation for protection (rakṣā) and concentration (dhāraṇā).
