Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: Bhauma-vrata (Mars/Tuesday observance)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes sustained discipline (a year-long vrata), purification through tilahoma (sesame oblations), and merit through annadāna—feeding the twice-born—showing that ritual and charity together complete the observance.
Bhakti here is expressed as steady, time-bound worship and service: repeating the observance every Tuesday and concluding with offerings and feeding brāhmaṇas as a devotional act that honors sacred duty.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is foregrounded: specifying the ritual schedule (every Maṅgalavāsara), the material for homa (tila), and the concluding dāna/ भोज्य-दान component (feeding dvijas).
