इत्येताश्छन्दसां संज्ञाः प्रस्ताराद्भेदभागिकाः । पादे सर्वगुरौ पूर्वील्लघुं स्थाप्य गुरोरधः ॥ १४ ॥
ityetāśchandasāṃ saṃjñāḥ prastārādbhedabhāgikāḥ | pāde sarvagurau pūrvīllaghuṃ sthāpya guroradhaḥ || 14 ||
ดังนี้ชื่อเรียกทางฉันทลักษณ์เหล่านี้เกิดจาก ‘ปรัสตาระ’ ตามการแบ่งแยกแต่ละแบบ ในบาทที่เป็น ‘สรรวคุรุ’ ทั้งหมด ให้ตั้งพยางค์เบา (ลฆุ) ไว้ในตำแหน่งต้น แทนพยางค์หนัก (คุรุ)
