It links cosmic time (parvan) with worldly outcomes, teaching that dharmic life includes reading time-signs and aligning conduct and rites with auspicious periods while remaining inwardly steady in mokṣa-oriented discipline.
Though the verse is technical (omens of parvan), it supports bhakti practice indirectly: devotees time offerings, fasts, and fire-related rites on auspicious junctions (Agni-related) and respond to adverse periods (Yama-related) with increased prayer, charity, and restraint rather than despair.
Jyotiṣa Vedāṅga: using calendrical parvans (lunar sacred junctions) to judge auspiciousness and anticipate rainfall, agriculture outcomes, and public welfare—guiding ritual scheduling and community preparedness.
