Though technical, it supports Bhakti indirectly: when ominous signs arise, devotees are guided to take refuge in dharma and worship (especially Viṣṇu-centered śānti practices) rather than fear, converting anxiety into disciplined devotion.
Jyotiṣa (Vedāṅga astrology): the verse gives a predictive rule—specific grahas preceding Venus are read as portents of war, storms, famine, and water-related destruction, informing śānti and governance decisions.
