प्रमाणेच्छे सजातीये आद्यंते मध्यगं फलम् । इच्छघ्नमाद्यहृत्सेष्टं फलं व्यस्ते विपर्ययात् ॥ ३७ ॥

pramāṇecche sajātīye ādyaṃte madhyagaṃ phalam | icchaghnamādyahṛtseṣṭaṃ phalaṃ vyaste viparyayāt || 37 ||

เมื่อความปรารถนาต่อปรมาณะ (ความรู้ที่ถูกต้อง) มุ่งไปยังสิ่งที่เป็นประเภทเดียวกัน ผลย่อมเกิดขึ้น ณ กึ่งกลางระหว่างต้นกับปลาย แต่เมื่อทำลายความปรารถนาเสียเอง ผลคือสิ่งที่เหลือหลังแรงผลักแรกถูกตัดออก และหากกลับลำดับ ผลก็ย่อมเป็นตรงกันข้าม
