गजग्रीष्टकृतिर्व्यैका दलिता चेष्टभाजिता । एकोऽस्य वर्गो दलितः सैको राशिः परो मतः ॥ ३२ ॥

Transliteration

gajagrīṣṭakṛtirvyaikā dalitā ceṣṭabhājitā | eko'sya vargo dalitaḥ saiko rāśiḥ paro mataḥ || 32 ||

Translation

ให้ถือ “หนึ่งหน่วย” เป็นฐานการคำนวณ เมื่อทำให้ลดลงแล้วหารตามกฎแห่งการกระทำ ก็ได้กำลังสองของค่านั้น และหนึ่งหน่วยเดิมนั้นเองถือเป็นราศีผลลัพธ์ ดังที่ฤๅษีทั้งหลายสอนไว้
