अनुबंधेऽपवाहे चैकस्य चेदधिकोनकः । भागास्तलस्थहारेण हरं स्वांशाधिकेन तान् ॥ २३ ॥

Transliteration

anubaṃdhe'pavāhe caikasya cedadhikonakaḥ | bhāgāstalasthahāreṇa haraṃ svāṃśādhikena tān || 23 ||

Translation

ในกรณีการบวก (อนุพันธะ) และการลบ (อปวาหะ) หากพจน์หนึ่งมากหรือน้อยกว่า ให้หาส่วนต่าง ๆ โดยยึดตัวส่วนที่อยู่ ‘ด้านล่าง’ แล้วนำส่วนเหล่านั้นไปหารด้วยตัวส่วนที่เพิ่มด้วยส่วนของตนเอง
