FAQs

Though technical in language, it reflects the Purāṇic ideal that precise knowledge (śāstra) supports right discernment—helping one align actions with dharma and, ultimately, the pursuit of mokṣa.

It does not teach bhakti directly; instead, it supplies a technical tool (vakra-gati/curved or retrograde course) that can underpin calendrical and astrological determinations used to schedule vows, fasts, and devotional observances.

Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa/gaṇita is highlighted—using ṛṇa (negative) and dhana (positive) adjustment and geometric terms like trijyā (radius) and karṇa (diagonal/hypotenuse) to infer vakra-gati (retrograde/curved motion).
