yattuṃ nāśi na saṃdeho nāśidravyopapāditam | tadevāpaladaṃ karma paramārtho mato mama || 25 ||

By implying that merely material, perishable supports cannot yield lasting fruit, it points toward devotion directed to the imperishable Lord as the stable, enduring aim beyond temporary ritual outcomes.
It indirectly frames the limits of ritual performance (Kalpa/karma-kāṇḍa): even correctly executed acts using material offerings produce results that remain within the perishable realm, so one should also pursue liberating knowledge and devotion.
