Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 18

Sṛṣṭi-pralaya-kathana: Mahābhūta-guṇāḥ, Vṛkṣa-indriya-vādaḥ, Prāṇa-vāyu-vyavasthā

तस्मात्पद्मात्समभवद्व्रह्मा वेदमयो विधिः । अहंकार इति ख्यातः सर्वभूतात्मभूतकृत् ॥ १८ ॥

tasmātpadmātsamabhavadvrahmā vedamayo vidhiḥ | ahaṃkāra iti khyātaḥ sarvabhūtātmabhūtakṛt || 18 ||

จากดอกบัวนั้น พระพรหมผู้เป็นวิธิ ผู้ประกอบด้วยพระเวทได้อุบัติขึ้น ทรงเป็นที่รู้จักว่า “อะหังการะ” ผู้เป็นอาตมันภายในสรรพสัตว์และเป็นผู้ก่อกำเนิดสรรพชีวิต॥๑๘॥
