Matsya Purana — The Strategy to Defeat Tāraka: Pārvatī’s Birth, Shloka 169

मनुष्यदेवजातीनां शुभाशुभनिवेदकम् लक्षणं हस्तपादादौ विहितैर्लक्षणैः किल //

manuṣyadevajātīnāṃ śubhāśubhanivedakam lakṣaṇaṃ hastapādādau vihitairlakṣaṇaiḥ kila //

สำหรับหมู่มนุษย์และหมู่ทิพย์นั้น ลักษณะ (ลักษณะ) ที่ปรากฏที่มือ เท้า และส่วนอื่น ๆ ตามคัมภีร์ลักษณะศาสตร์ที่กำหนดไว้ กล่าวกันว่าเป็นเครื่องบอกมงคลและอวมงคล
