*devayānyuvāca kena cārthena nṛpate hy enaṃ deśaṃ samāgataḥ jighṛkṣurvāri yatkiṃcid athavā mṛgalipsayā //

Translation

เทวยานีกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่มหาราช ท่านมาถึงแดนนี้ด้วยเหตุอันใด—มุ่งมาขอน้ำเพียงเล็กน้อยเพื่อดื่ม หรือมาด้วยความใคร่ในการล่าสัตว์?”
