Divinity is recognized in the sustaining rhythms of nature. Gratitude and reverence toward the cosmic order (ṛta/dharma) are cultivated by seeing the Sun as a manifestation of the supreme.
Touches Sarga/maintenance thematically (the Sun sustaining life and order), but functions mainly as stuti within a didactic-devotional passage.
The Sun symbolizes the inner ‘light of awareness’ (cit-prakāśa). ‘Day-maker’ can be read as the power that makes cognition possible—turning the ‘night’ of ignorance into the ‘day’ of understanding.
