ब्राह्मण उवाच अष्टावात्मगुणा ये हि तेषामादौ दया द्विज ।
तां करोṣi कथं न त्वं मयि सद्धर्मपालक ॥
brāhmaṇa uvāca aṣṭāv ātma-guṇā ye hi teṣām ādau dayā dvija | tāṃ karoṣi kathaṃ na tvaṃ mayi saddharma-pālaka ||
พราหมณ์กล่าวว่า “โอ้ทวิชะ ในคุณธรรมแปดประการของอาตมัน กรุณาเป็นยอดยิ่ง แล้วเหตุใดท่านผู้กล่าวว่าทรงไว้ซึ่งสัจธรรม จึงไม่แสดงกรุณาต่อเรา?”
