Adhyaya 34Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)

पादेनार्थस्य पारत्र्यं कुर्यात् सञ्चयमात्मवान् ।

अर्धेन चात्मभरणं नित्यनैमित्तिकान्वितम् ॥

pādenārthasya pāratryaṃ kuryāt sañcayam ātmavān | ardhena cātmabharaṇaṃ nityanaimittikānvitam ||

บุคคลผู้สำรวมตน พึงกันทรัพย์หนึ่งในสี่ไว้เพื่อโลกหน้า โดยจัดเป็นทานและกิจอันเป็นบุญ ครึ่งหนึ่งพึงใช้เลี้ยงตนและครอบครัว พร้อมทั้งประกอบหน้าที่ประจำและหน้าที่ตามกาล.
