तद्दोयतां द्विजसुतौ यदि वां प्रणयो मयि ।

एतावता अहं दैवेन वञ्चितोऽस्मि दुरात्मना ॥

tad doyatāṃ dvija-sutau yadi vāṃ praṇayo mayi |

etāvatāhaṃ daivena vañcito 'smi durātmanā ||

“โอ้บุตรแห่งพราหมณ์ทั้งสอง หากท่านทั้งสองมีความรักต่อเรา ก็จงมอบเพียงสิ่งนั้นเถิด เราถูกลิขิต—ด้วยพลังอันโหดร้ายนั้น—ลวงให้พลาดไปเพียงเท่านี้”
