Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
करोत्यात्महितं कुर्वन् विश्वासञ्च महाजने ।
देवताः पितरो विप्रा मित्रार्थिविकलादयः ॥
karoty ātma-hitaṃ kurvan viśvāsaṃ ca mahā-jane | devatāḥ pitaro viprā mitra-arthi-vikalādayaḥ ||
เมื่อประพฤติดังนี้ เขาย่อมบำเพ็ญประโยชน์ของตนและได้ความไว้วางใจในหมู่มหาบุรุษ เหล่าเทพ ปิตฤ บราหมณ์ มิตร ผู้ขอ ผู้ทุกข์ยาก และผู้อื่นทั้งหลายต่างมองไปยังเขา
