Adhyaya 16The Son’s Counsel on Renunciation and the Anasuya–Mandavya Episode: The Suspension of Sunrise and the Power of Pativrata

पुत्र उवाच तैः सा प्रसादिता गत्वा प्रोह्येष्टं व्रियतामिति ।

अयाचन्त दिनं देवाः भवत्विति यथा पुरा ॥

putra uvāca taiḥ sā prasāditā gatvā prohyeṣṭaṃ vriyatām iti | ayācanta dinaṃ devāḥ bhavatv iti yathā purā ||

บุตรกล่าวว่า—เมื่อเธอพอใจด้วยพวกเขาแล้ว จึงไปกล่าวว่า ‘ขอให้พิธีที่ตั้งใจไว้สำเร็จครบถ้วน’ ครั้นแล้วเหล่าเทพจึงวิงวอนว่า ‘ขอให้กลางวันกลับเป็นดังเดิม’.
