Kṛpa–Arjuna Chariot Engagement
सम्प्रवृत्ते तु संग्रामे भावाभावी जयाजयौ । अवश्यमेकं स्पृशतो दृष्टमेतदसंशयम्,संग्राम छिड़ जानेपर किसी-न-किसी पक्षको लाभ या हानि, जय अथवा पराजय अवश्य प्राप्त होते हैं, यह सदा देखा गया है। इसमें संशयकी कोई बात नहीं है
sampravṛtte tu saṅgrāme bhāvābhāvī jayājayau | avaśyam ekaṃ spṛśato dṛṣṭam etad asaṃśayam ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “เมื่อศึกปะทุขึ้นแล้ว ผลได้ผลเสีย—ชัยชนะหรือพ่ายแพ้—ย่อมต้องตกต้องฝ่ายใดฝ่ายหนึ่งเป็นแน่ สิ่งนี้เห็นกันมาโดยตลอด ไม่มีข้อกังขา”
