Śamī-vṛkṣe śastra-nidhāna and Entry into Virāṭa’s Capital (शमीवृक्षे शस्त्रनिधानम्)
जयो जयन्तो विजयो जयत्सेनो जयद्धल: । इति गुह्मानि नामानि चक्रे तेषां युधिष्ठिर:,तब युधिष्ठिरने क्रमश: पाँचों भाइयोंके जय, जयन्त, विजय, जयत्सेन और जयद्वल-- ये गुप्त नाम रखे
jayo jayanto vijayo jayatseno jayaddhalaḥ | iti guhyāni nāmāni cakre teṣāṃ yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า ยุธิษฐิระได้กำหนดนามลับให้พี่น้อง—ชยะ, ชยันตะ, วิชยะ, ชยัตเสนะ และชยัทธละ—เพื่อให้ดำรงชีวิตโดยไม่เปิดเผยตน รักษาสัตย์ปฏิญาณ และหลีกเลี่ยงการถูกจดจำ.
