कालविभाग-निरूपणं तथा युद्धव्यवस्था
Time-Reckoning and Mobilization Counsel
अश्षानां ह्वेषितं श्रुत्वा कः प्रशंसापरो भवेत् । स्थाने वापि व्रजन्तो वा सदा ह्रेषन्ति वाजिन:,“भला, घोड़ोंकी हिनहिनाहट सुनकर कौन किसीकी प्रशंसा करने लग जाता है? घोड़े अपने स्थानपर हों या यात्रा करते हों, वे सदा ही हींसते रहते हैं (इससे किसीकी वीरताका क्या सम्बन्ध है?)
aśvānāṁ hveṣitaṁ śrutvā kaḥ praśaṁsāparo bhavet | sthāne vāpi vrajanto vā sadā hreṣanti vājinaḥ ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “ได้ยินเสียงม้าร้องแล้ว ใครเล่าจะรีบตั้งใจสรรเสริญผู้ใด? ม้าอยู่กับที่หรือกำลังเดินทาง ก็ร้องอยู่เสมอ—สิ่งนี้จะเป็นหลักฐานแห่งความกล้าหาญของบุรุษได้อย่างไร”
