कृपवाक्यं तथा नीत्युपदेशः
Kṛpa’s Counsel and a Discourse on Statecraft
क्षत्रधर्मरता नित्यं केशवानुगता: सदा । प्रवीरपुरुषास्ते वै महात्मानो महाबला: । नावसीदितुमर्न्ति उद्बहन्त: सतां धरम्,'पाण्डव क्षत्रिय-धर्ममें नित्य अनुरक्त रहकर सदा भगवान् श्रीकृष्णका अनुगमन करनेवाले हैं। वे उत्तम वीर पुरुष, महात्मा, महाबलवान् तथा साधु पुरुषोंके लिये उचित कर्तव्यका भार वहन कर रहे हैं; अतः वे कष्ट भोगने या नष्ट होने योग्य नहीं हैं
kṣatradharmaratā nityaṃ keśavānugatāḥ sadā | pravīrapuruṣās te vai mahātmāno mahābalāḥ | nāvasīditum arhanti udbahantaḥ satāṃ dharam ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— ปาณฑพทั้งหลายยึดมั่นในธรรมของกษัตริย์อยู่เนืองนิตย์ และติดตามเกศวะ (พระกฤษณะ) อยู่เสมอ เป็นยอดวีรบุรุษ ผู้มีจิตใจยิ่งใหญ่และทรงพละกำลัง แบกรับภาระแห่งหน้าที่อันชอบธรรมเพื่อเหล่าสัตบุรุษ จึงไม่ควรตกต่ำสู่ความทุกข์หรือถึงความพินาศ
