Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas

मां सुखं प्रतिपद्यस्व दासो भीरु भवामि ते । अद्वाय तव सुश्रोणि शतं निष्कान्‌ ददाम्यहम्‌,'भीरु! सुखपूर्वक मुझे स्वीकार कर लो, फिर तो मैं तुम्हारा दास बन जाऊँगा। सुश्रोणि! मैं तुम्हारे दैनिक खर्चके लिये प्रतिदिन सौ मोहरें देता रहूँगा

māṃ sukhaṃ pratipadyasva dāso bhīru bhavāmi te | advāya tava suśroṇi śataṃ niṣkān dadāmy aham ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “โอผู้หวาดหวั่น จงรับเราไว้ด้วยความสมัครใจและผาสุก เราจะเป็นทาสของเจ้า โอหญิงผู้มีสะโพกงาม เพื่อค่าใช้จ่ายประจำวัน เราจะให้เจ้าวันละหนึ่งร้อยนิษกะ”
