Educational Q&A

To protect dharma in a difficult situation, one may adopt humble service and rely on genuine competence rather than ego. Bhīma’s willingness to work as a cook supports the ethical commitment to remain undiscovered during the incognito year.

During the Pāṇḍavas’ planning for their concealed stay, Bhīma proposes his role: he will enter Virāṭa’s household as a cook, asserting his skill in preparing dishes in the royal kitchen.
